Two things awe me most, the starry sky above me and the moral law within me.
—Immanuel Kant (1768, by Johann Gottlieb Becker, public domain)
…our internal moral compass, otherwise known as our character, drives our life. The decisions we make, the actions we take, are all a product of our character. And the stronger the “moral law within me,” the more we are immune from outside forces. Think of the people throughout history who have continued to move forward despite the incredible obstacles in their way. Yes, they have a vision of their destination, but they also have a strong internal moral law (character) which keeps their path true.
