A great work is made out of a combination of obedience and liberty.

Throughout my life, I have come across a good number of people with a high level of creativity who happen to believe that structure equals constraint. I have also come across a lot of hard-working conformists who don’t seem to have a creative bone in their respective bodies.

Which group is more successful in life? That distinction is reserved for the (smaller) group of individuals able to balance their creative energies with a disciplined approach to life—the type required to matter-of-factly accomplish the critical tasks needed to move forward. Creativity and self-discipline are complimentary, not mutually exclusive.
