Tell Your Mind What You are Looking For

March 6, 2019 pwm1

A thought is often original, though you have uttered it a hundred times. It has come to you over a new route, by a new and express train of association.

—Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. (by Harris & Ewing; Public Domain)

The human mind is an awe-inspiring tool, but it responds to what we feed into it. If we are constantly focused on negative thoughts and dark introspection, the mind will find a way to fuel outcomes supporting those thoughts. If, however, we remain focused on what we need to accomplish, what we need to achieve, the mind will go to work finding the solutions we need to make those things manifest within our lives.

With a positive outlook, dwell on that which you passionately want to come to fruition. See it happening; see yourself basking in the glow of that achievement. Feel and live as though you have already accomplished it, and you will suddenly see, with clarity, all of the thoughts needed to make it happen. They have always been there; you have now just made clear to your mind what you were looking for.
