There’s an old business adage that goes “find out what people want and give it to them better than anyone else.” Here’s the problem: what if they don’t know what they want until you show them something they must have? Look at all the inventions that were laughed off as unnecessary or unworkable right up to the point at which they came indispensable. Instead of glomming on to someone else’s idea, think creatively, come up with a new vision, and disregard the critics as you develop and market it.
