No one should live in poverty in the wealthiest nation on earth. From the earliest age, children need to know that, regardless of the set of circumstances they were born into, they have the power to overcome obstacles and achieve greatness. The victim mentality destroys. Hate destroys. Refuse to dwell in these houses, understand the great gift that God has placed in each of us, and refuse to be part of the herd. When the hate-mongers tell you that you are a victim, smile, wish them a nice day, and walk away.
